Mobility Management Center

Statewide community transportation coordination forums have taken place since 2009. Many organizations attending these early forums became founding members of the Regional Coordinating Councils.

Massachusetts Community Transportation Coordination Conference

The next Massachusetts Community Transportation Coordination Conference will be held at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester on May 2, 2017. It is a full-day event with workshops and networking opportunities. Our keynote speaker will be Scott Bogren, Executive Director of the Community Transportation Association of America. CTAA is a national resource and technical assistance center on topics related to safe, affordable, accessible, reliable and coordinated community transportation based in Washington DC.

Agenda topics include:

  • Voices from riders: consumer panel
  • Volunteer transportation
  • Partnering with Uber and Lyft
  • Retiring from driving
  • Employment transportation
  • Pedestrian safety for seniors and people with disabilities
  • Regional Coordinating Council accomplishments, strategies, and challenges
  • Introduction to PERCEPT
  • Coordination updates from the MBTA
