Massachusetts offers a variety of transportation modes and connections that serve diverse local demand; however, not everybody enjoys the freedom that personal mobility provides. If you or someone you know have a mobility challenge and cannot travel due to age, disability, income barriers or for any other reason, the Massachusetts Mobility Management Center is the resource for you.
The Center assists in capacity development so that communities can design and build innovative mobility solutions that fit local demand. The Center provides the following services to any organization concerned with transportation access and mobility barriers:
- Expert advice in coalition building
- Project-based technical assistance
- Information dissemination in the form of toolkits, practice briefs, and policy updates
- Peer networking
We operate within the MassDOT Transit Unit, leveraging and strengthening the resources that MassDOT and its partner agencies offer in mobility management and coordination.
All individuals have a variety of accessible mobility options to choose from that seamlessly connect to economic, social, educational and recreational opportunities in the Commonwealth and beyond.
Build community capacity via technical assistance and other resources so that cities and towns are able to formulate transportation strategies and adopt innovative mobility solutions that serve all people.
