Citizens Advisory Committee Overview
A critical component of the Urban Ring's public involvement is the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC is made up of representatives from municipalities, neighborhood groups, public agencies, and institutions who have a major interest in the Urban Ring corridor. The CAC was appointed by the Massachusetts Secretary of Environmental Affairs to provide essential stakeholder input to the Urban Ring Project. After further environmental review of the project was suspended in January 2010, Secretary Jeffrey B. Mullan asked the CAC to continue to support MassDOT planning for improvements in the corridor.
MassDOT and the CAC members met in March 2010 to develop a work program for ongoing planning work in the Urban Ring corridor. Once consensus is reached on a work plan, it will be posted here
