Suspensions & Hearings: Vehicular Homicide / Manslaughter
The Registrar of Motor Vehicles is required to revoke your learner's permit, license, or right to operate for any convictions of Vehicular Homicide or Manslaughter by Motor vehicle.

NOTE: If the Homicide/Manslaughter includes an OUI and you have a prior OUI conviction or an incident that required you to complete an Alcohol Program, your license/right to operate will be revoked for life.
If you were convicted of Vehicular Homicide or Motor Vehicle Manslaughter prior to 10/28/05 (Melanie's Law), the revocation period is ten years for a first offense and lifetime for a second or subsequent offense. The Registry does not grant hardships for this type of offense.
