The Registry of Motor Vehicles today announced the 238 winners of the 2006 Low Number Plate Lottery that was held on Tuesday, September 5th during a broadcast of "The Howie Carr Show."
Registrar Anne L. Collins joined a handful of Howie Carr listeners in Howie's WRKO studio to pick the winners.
"Once again we had thousands of entries this year, demonstrating the undeniable enthusiasm Massachusetts drivers have for low number license plates," said Registrar Anne L. Collins.
Also picked were 25 alternates in the event that the winners do not pick up their plates.
By law, the Registry of Motor Vehicles holds an annual drawing for any returned or unwanted low number plates. The winners, listed on the attached page, each have until December 31, 2006 to make arrangements to get their plate from Registry Headquarters in Quincy.
