New Easthampton RMV Site

Lieutenant Governor Jane Swift and Registrar Daniel A. Grabauskas announced the expansion of services at the Greenfield registry branch.

Registrar of Motor Vehicles Dan Grabauskas along with Representative Nancy Flavin, Senator Michael Knapik, and local community and business leaders cut a ribbon to mark the grand opening of the new Easthampton Registry branch. The branch is located in the Eastworks facility at 116 Pleasant Street in Easthampton. The branch office is a convenient alternative to residents of Northampton, Westfield, Easthampton and the hill towns to conduct Registry related business while the Route 9 Calvin Coolidge Bridge will be under construction. The traffic congestion and delays may make it difficult for residents to the west of the bridge to get to the recently relocated Registry of Motor Vehicles in Hadley.

"Our goal was to open an office on this side of the river before major construction on the Coolidge Bridge began," said Registrar Grabauskas. "We want to offer efficient service to those in the surrounding communities and help make their access to Registry services more convenient."

Local citizens, insurance agents and car dealers alike are glad to see the addition of an Easthampton office to the RMV branch network. Many welcome the efficient and convenient service the branch offers. "I am excited Registrar Grabauskas has agreed to open a Registry office in Easthampton," Senator Michael Knapik said. "Governor Swift and Registrar Grabauskas are to be commended for their tireless efforts to keep a Registry facility open on the western side of the Connecticut River," he continued.

The Easthampton branch will be open six days a week, Monday through Saturday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, as a full service Registry office offering all license (including permit testing), registration and title transactions. Road tests will be offered out of the Easthampton branch on Friday's.

"I am thrilled that the Registry of Motor Vehicles will finally be having its grand opening. Not only will it serve the people of Easthampton, but also the surrounding communities. It also couldn't come at a better time, with the construction of the Coolidge Bridge scheduled to start the same day as the opening, many motorists and insurance agents will be able to bypass the extra heavy flow of traffic to the Hadley Registry" said Representative Nancy Flavin.

Another great alternative to visiting a Registry branch is to conduct your Registry business on-line. Massrmv.com offers seven transactions so one can order a duplicate license/ID or registration, change your address, pay citations, order special plates or renew your registration. Registrations can also be renewed by phone at 1-866-MASSRMV.
