Overview

This point datalayer contains the traffic count locations obtained by the MassDOT Highway Division. The count locations represent a sampling of the roadway system. The interstate system is sampled at 100%, while the other functional classified roadways are sampled at locations across the state.

Production

The locations of the traffic count locations were digitized from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 1:5000 color orthophoto imagery with information provided the Traffic Data Collection staff. This point layer is available in a downloadable Personal Geodatabase file.
