Massachusetts has joined the other 49 states in the use of Road Flaggers. This use was authorized by the 2008 Transportation Bond Bill and is one of the Commonwealth's most visible transportation reform initiatives. Road Flaggers are being used for projects in every region of the state and their use will steadily increase as new projects are awarded.
The interactive map below displays the current Massachusetts highway projects across the state that use Road Flaggers. Click on any of the Road Flagger symbols to display project details including descriptions. Road Flagger symbols in red represent projects with multiple locations within that region. Additional information on these projects can be found below the map.
