Everett Ave On-Ramp Closure begins May 6, 2018

This closure is necessary in order to micro-mill, waterproof and repave the existing roadway.

Appropriate signage will be present to guide traffic to the detour route. Motorists should allow additional time for their trip during when using the detour route. This work is part of the ongoing Tobin Bridge Repair Project.

Please note that for the duration of the 2018 construction season, mainline repair work on the lower deck (northbound level) of the Tobin Bridge will be performed while maintaining three (3) lanes during peak traffic hours. The deck will be restriped to create a behind-barrier work zone required to perform extensive steel repairs and painting. To minimize impacts to the traveling public, MassDOT has directed the contractor to limit lane closures to off-peak times. Two-week advance notice will be provided for this lane shift with more details on a separate release.
