BOSTON- Thursday, October 24, 2013- Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Secretary and Chief Executive Officer Richard A. Davey today announced release of the MassDOT Highway Division User Satisfaction Survey. The online survey seeks to gather public input about Highway Division performance in maintaining state roadways and identifying priorities in delivering services during the next two years.
Members of the public who use Massachusetts interstate highways and numbered state roads weekly are encouraged to participate. The survey will be available through November 30 at the following web address: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/massdothwysurvey
“We are committed to a MassDOT culture of accountability for performance, listening to our customers, and taking action to improve the user experience on state roadways and across all modes of transportation,” said Secretary Davey. “This survey is an important tool in seeking public input in measuring our progress over time.”
“We want to learn from the people who use our highways each day about what is working and where we can improve, “ said Highway Administrator Frank DePaola. “These surveys will help guide us in making future decisions about where to focus our time and resources.”
The brief survey asks users questions about Highway Division performance and priorities, including:
The survey includes questions about work zone safety, real-time traffic signs, service plazas and Park & Ride availability. It also provides an opportunity for customers to submit additional comments or questions about the MassDOT Highway Division. Administrator DePaola says MassDOT will review the survey findings and respond to areas of need identified.
