This map shows the Study area for the Back Bay Ramps Transportation Study. The study area is made up of two parts, the core study area where potential improvements will be proposed and a regional study area where the potential impacts of improvements will be measured. The core study area is the Massachusetts Turnpike, I-90, from the Commonwealth Avenue overpass in the west to the Harrison Boulevard overpass in the east. The regional study area consists of the neighborhoods surrounding the core study area, including the South Boston Waterfront, the South End, Chinatown, the Back Bay, Bay Village, the Fenway/Kenmore neighborhoods, the Longwood Medical area and areas in Brookline and Allston out to Harvard Avenue.
